Aram Soleman at the double to extend Guiseley’s impressive away run
There were few chances during the first half, with both sides having one big opportunity each.
Guiseley’s new loan keeper Brad Wade was made to work early on in his debut, after he made himself big to block Sean Reid who had been put through on goal.

Hide AdThe Lions took the lead through captain Hamza Bencherif, after an indirect free-kick was awarded. He took the pass by Brad Nicholson and fired in a low, driving effort into the bottom corner.
Guiseley started the second brightly and were handed a fortunate penalty, for a challenge that didn’t look to have occurred in the box. Aram Soleman stepped up and made no mistake with his spot kick.
Darlington so nearly scored immediately afterwards when Adam Campbell flicked a header on and his effort went just wide of the right-hand post.
The home side kept trying to push forward but the visitors’ defence held firm, with a Jarrett Rivers effort from the halfway line going just over, in what was their best chance.

This impressive victory sees the Lions sit just one point below the play-off places ahead of next Saturday’s home clash with AFC Telford United.
Guiseley joint-manager Marcus Bignot was delighted with what he saw. He said: “It was a fantastic performance. We knew after facing them last week how good they are. We can be proud of ourselves and how we got the result.
“I know about the potential Aram (Soleman) has and I’m delighted with the goals he scored today.”
